Home MenuCatering/Concessions Information
Food service is a part of many client events at MCL Grand, and most rentals include access to the catering kitchen if requested at the time of booking. In order to ensure a quality experience for clients and visitors, The Grand management has adopted the following procedures and guidelines related to food service at the facility.
Concessions
The concession stand, located in the main lobby, is available for use by the client renting Performance Hall. Client can provide approved items to sell and retain the proceeds or The Grand can provide the items and receive 50% of the proceeds. Clients may not operate the concession stand or concession operation elsewhere in the facility without consent from MCL Grand management. Client may contract The Grand-approved caterer for concession sales. The Grand-approved caterers are required for any alcohol sales from the concession stand.
Catering
The Grand maintains a list of caterers who are approved to sell and serve food and drink for events. Any caterer may apply to The Grand to be added to this list.
Alcoholic Beverages
The Grand maintains a list of alcohol caterers who are approved for sale and service of any alcoholic beverages and is restricted to TABC licensed alcohol vendors and TABC certified servers. If alcoholic beverages are to be sold, a valid permit from the TABC must be posted at the location. If a renter wishes to provide free alcoholic beverages, they must be served by TABC certified servers and no payment may be accepted, even in the form of a contribution or gratuity. Service may not be restricted to those with tickets to the performance, but must be restricted to those of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. If alcohol is to be either sold or given away to the public, renter much show proof of liability insurance which includes alcohol liability coverage.
All catering companies must complete a catering application and be approved before on-site catering services can be provided at The Grand. Approval will be awarded once the catering company has met all of the requirements provided in the attached agreement. To be considered complete, an application must include: (1) a signed copy of the Approved Caterer Agreement; (2) valid proof of insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum coverage described in the Agreement; and (3) a list of catering references as described in the Agreement.
