The Grand COVID-19 Safety Protocol Questions
- The Grand remains vigilant in the health and well-being of its visitors, performers, and staff with continued use of pandemic related protocols and restrictions. Read an overview of the protocols.
As of Wednesday, March 10, face coverings or masks are no longer required for patrons in all public spaces, however they are strongly encouraged. Staff will continue to wear a mask or face covering. Public spaces include the lobby, restrooms, hallways and Art Gallery. For those patrons still choosing to wear masks, once patrons are seated for the performance or event in the required socially distanced manner, they may remove their mask or face covering. Masks or face coverings should be reapplied when a patron gets up from their seat to move about the venue or to exit. If concessions are available for purchase during an event, patrons are asked to wait to consume any food or beverage until seated in a socially distanced manner in the performance space.
No, beginning on Wednesday, March 10 visitors to The Grand will no longer be required to submit for a temperature check.
Visitors experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, are asked to stay home. If you have tickets to an “MCL Grand Presents” event and cannot attend due to sickness, contact us at [email protected] to request a refund for your tickets.

Visitors are asked to maintain at least 6 feet of social distance from other groups/parties at all times and be seated with appropriate distance between other parties.
Some renters and presenters may have additional requirements to enter their rented space- please confirm requirements with the group producing the event you will be attending.
It is important that our visitors follow these policies to help us prevent the spread of COVID-19. By following these policies, we can remain open and continue to host events for the community.Extensive daily sanitization regimens are being executed in all common areas and touchable surfaces of the facility, including restrooms, handrails, countertops, vending machines, and available lobby seating. Sanitization of common areas will continue throughout the duration of each event.
Hand sanitizing stations are also available in the lobby.Yes. In order to accommodate 6 feet of distance between parties, all spaces at The Grand have a reduced capacity.
The Grand is working closely with organizations presenting events in our building to implement seating charts that allow the appropriate distance between parties. For spaces with fixed seating, such as the Performance Hall, we will maintain the requirement for all presenters to keep every other row closed and leave two empty seats between each group or party. A group is defined as no more than 10 persons including the members of the household and those persons who traveled together to the facility or on the same reservation.
The Grand Patron Questions
The Grand is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., for Art Gallery viewing hours. Our Administrative and Box Office hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Yes. All tours of the building must be booked in advance through our Administrative Office by calling 972.219.8446 (Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
- Lewisville is host to a vast array of restaurants within minutes away. For a complete list of restaurants in Lewisville, refer to visitlewisville.com and select ‘Where To Eat’.
- The MCL Grand is owned and operated by the City of Lewisville.
The MCL Grand is wheelchair accessible from Main, Church and Charles Street entrances. Accessible seating is available throughout the facility, including the Performance Hall.
The MCL Grand is equipped with an Assisted Listening System to assist the deaf and hard of hearing. It is available at the Box Office for Performance Hall and Black Box events. An ID is required as a deposit.
Transfer seats have movable armrests for those who would like to transfer out of their wheelchair, however anyone can purchase these seats. In the Performance Hall, these seats are B-18, P-1, and P-18.

All other event spaces in the building are flexible and may have varied seating configurations dependent upon the event.For “The Grand Presents” events, there is a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages operating in the lobby.

The Grand also has vending machines located in the Education hallway.
Food and drinks are permitted in the Performance Hall.
As a general rule, photography is allowed in the facility without the use of flash. Please note, however, that some artists and presenting organizations do not allow photography during their events.
Unless otherwise stated by the event presenter, video recording of performances is not permitted.
In general, The Grand is a casual dress venue. Most visitors to "The Grand Presents" events dress in casual attire.
However, as we are a rentable facility, please refer to the specific organization hosting a performance for which you are inquiring.You can purchase tickets to upcoming “MCL Grand Presents” events, such as the Texas Tunes and Black Box Songwriter Series concerts, through the MCL Grand Box Office at mclgrand.tix.com or by calling 972.219.8446 (Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Tickets can also be purchased in-person from the Box Office starting one hour before show time.
Tickets to MCL Grand Presents events cannot be reserved without payment.
For all other events, tickets are sold by the organizations producing the events; please refer to their websites for more information. View all upcoming events.If an “MCL Grand Presents” event is sold out, please call the Box Office at 972.219.8446 (Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) to add your name to the waitlist to purchase tickets. Additional tickets may sometimes become available.

Select “MCL Grand Presents” events offer discounted tickets for residents of Lewisville. Discounted student tickets are also sometimes available. These discounts are noted on qualifying events.
To purchase a Lewisville resident ticket, please visit the MCL Grand during Administrative Hours (Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and bring proof of residency.
In the case of student tickets, these can be purchased directly online for Will Call pick-up only; a student I.D. is required at pickup.For all other events, please refer to the organization presenting the event as their ticket policies may be different.
For “MCL Grand Presents” events, tickets are not required for children under 3 years of age, so long as the child will be seated in a parent's lap. If a seat is required for the child, then a ticket must be purchased.

We do not mail tickets for our “MCL Grand Presents” events. You can choose to have your tickets emailed to you, or you can choose to pick up your tickets from Will Call (located at the Box Office) starting one hour prior to the show.
Your emailed tickets can be printed from home or scanned directly from your smartphone. Free WIFI is available at the MCL Grand. We can also reprint your tickets at the Box Office if needed.For all other events, please refer to the organization presenting the event as their ticket policies may be different.
For “MCL Grand Presents” events, tickets are available for reprinting at the Box Office on the night of the show. Tickets can also be scanned from your email confirmation from your smartphone or tablet for entrance into the concert. Free WIFI is available at the MCL Grand.

For “MCL Grand Presents” events, you are welcome to come in for the remainder of the performance. In some cases, you may be asked to wait to enter until the completion of a song or a break in the presentation. We ask that you always be considerate to other guests when arriving late.

There are no exchanges or refunds for “MCL Grand Presents” event tickets.

For “MCL Grand Presents” events, the Box Office opens one hour prior to the event start time for ticket sales and Will Call pickup. You can also contact the Box Office in advance of an event during regular Box Office hours, Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Grand Rental Questions
Yes. All spaces are available to the public for rental. In addition to performing arts events, The Grand also hosts meetings, seminars, weddings and various receptions. Please see our Rental Information.
Yes, but we do have some guidelines that must be followed. Please contact our office at 972.219.8446 (Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) for more information.
- A/V equipment and services are available at an additional cost.
- No. You are welcome to select a caterer from our approved catering list.
- The event date will be secured after we have received a signed contract and a deposit of half of the total rental cost.
We have four primary performance spaces here at the MCL Grand including the Performance Hall, Black Box Theater, Recital Hall, and Wayne Ferguson Plaza. As well as other rental spaces.
- Yes.
Certain restrictions apply for decorations. Candles with flames, glitter, and helium-filled balloons are prohibited, and nothing can be attached to facility walls. Please see our Facility Guidelines
- The rental fee includes the rental space, usually for up to 6 hours; some rooms include a podium and microphone by request. As we are an ‘a la carte’ facility, seating packages and technical equipment needed may be rented at an additional cost. A full list of rentable items is available on our Facility Rental page.
Excluding the Performance Hall, most spaces at the MCL Grand have the flexibility to accommodate multiple seating configurations.
