LakeCities Ballet Theatre will present its 2020-21 season finale, “Cinderella," two weekends in a row with limited-seating, in-theater performances March 26-27 and a virtual/streamed performance on April 3 at 7:30 p.m. This time-honored classical ballet, choreographed by Kelly Kilburn Lannin, will undoubtedly thrill LBT audiences. Featured in this season finale is LakeCities Ballet Theatre senior member Olivia Davis, dancing in the lead role as Cinderella.

This enchanting story, where true love overcomes jealousy and cruelty, tells the tale of the beautiful maiden Cinderella, who, after the untimely death of her mother, is cast into the unfortunate marriage of her beloved father to what turns out to be her evil step-mother and two cruel step-sisters.  When all young maidens in the land are summoned to a ball in honor of the Prince, Cinderella is left behind in ridicule by her less than kind step-mother.  Through the help of her enchanted Fairy God-mother, danced by LBT member Mackenna Pieper, she is able to leave her humble home and attend a grand ball.  While under a spell, her ragged clothes become a beautiful dress and her bare feet become adorned in perfectly fitting ballerina slippers.  She is, indeed, the belle of the ball! But, at the stroke of midnight, the enchantment ends and she must make a hasty retreat. In the turmoil, she leaves behind a single slipper. The Prince must now search his kingdom for the girl that has stolen his heart with only a perfect fitting slipper to find her. Will he find his one true love? Don’t miss this elegantly staged production and find out, as LBT presents “Cinderella!”

This delightful production takes place at the Lewisville Grand Theater in Lewisville, Texas. The Grand is located at 100 N. Charles Street, Lewisville, TX  75057.  Limited-seating, in-person performances take place March 26 at 7:30 p.m. and March 27 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The performance will be broadcast online the following weekend, April 3, at 7:30 p.m.
