MCL Grand changing name
Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street, is changing its name to Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater.
Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street, is changing its name to Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater effective immediately.
Medical Center of Lewisville, a part of Medical City Healthcare, announced its name change to Medical City Lewisville in December. The renaming is part of a unifying name change for Medical City Healthcare's 13 North Texas hospitals and seven off-campus hospital ERs that was announced on Nov. 18. The hospital's website and social media already reflect the new name, and signage on the building is anticipated by the end of the first quarter.
The City of Lewisville and Medical City Lewisville entered into a multi-year naming rights agreement in November 2010. The 40,000-square foot facility opened in January 2011 and is located in the heart of Old Town Lewisville. It gives arts groups in the Greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works and hosts regional and national shows and exhibits, events, classes and meetings.
MCL Grand features a 296-seat theatre, a 2,200-square foot art gallery, a 2,400-square foot dance hall, a 3,000-square foot black box and 1,750-square feet of classrooms. Administrative offices and art gallery are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
