VAL Watercolor Workshop with Nel Dorn Byrd

neldornbyrd_1The workshop will consist of daily demos, critiques and individual help. The instructor will discuss design and how to best express one's chosen subject matter. She will also talk about working wet into wet, beginning on dry paper and saving the white of the paper.

Subject matter will be architecture, landscape, and floral or still life. The instructor will provide photo images to work from, but students are welcome to bring their own images.

Nel has painted with watercolor for 50 years and is a signature member of AWS, NWS, WHS, Western Fed, Rocky Mountain National, and SWS as well as several others. Explore her beautiful paintings at
