Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater (MCL Grand) opened its doors with a three-day celebration on Jan. 14-16, 2011. The center is located at 100 N. Charles Street, between Main and Church streets, in the heart of Old Town Lewisville. Administrative offices and art gallery are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
MCL Grand gives the many arts groups in the Greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works and also hosts other regional and national shows and exhibits, events, classes and meetings. The facility features a 296-seat theater with acoustics designed for both speech and music, a 2,200-square-foot art gallery, a 2,400-square-foot dance recital hall, 3,000-square-foot black box and 1,750 square feet of classrooms. A courtyard from Charles Street to the theater lobby is large enough to host small outside performances and dinners.
Page Sutherland Page architectural firm designed the center, which draws upon similarities to the existing buildings in Old Town Lewisville. Several local arts groups provided input in the planning stages of the facility. Tax Increment Refinance Zone bonds funded most of the project.

On December 17, 2019, 25-year-old Venezuelan Francisco Rodriguez, a resident of Stephenville, Texas, was a victim in a serious car accident. He is now in intensive care at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. This event aims to raise money for Francisco’s family. Ticket proceeds will go to the Rodriguez family, in addition to covering the expenses of the event production. We thank all artists added to this production: Belkis Martinez, Ernesto Saxs, Yasmil Mafurro, Mario Caceres, and Simon Ruiz – all of whom are from Venezuela, too.
This event is presented by Amar y Servir and will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, 7 p.m., Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.
