Rescheduled - Texas Tunes: Sarah Jaffe

This event has been rescheduled to Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 8 p.m. All previously purchased tickets will be valid for the new date. Ticket holders who cannot attend the rescheduled performance may request a refund by emailing info@mclgrand.com (preferred) or by leaving a voicemail at 972.219.8446 with your name, phone number, and the event name. While we intend to process refunds as quickly as possible, please note that there may be a delay in fulfilling these requests until normal operations resume.

MCL_SarahJaffe_300x300Sarah Jaffe started recording and releasing music when she was just 22 years old. The Texas native has since launched a creatively rich career as both a songwriter and a recording artist. She’s not only released four critically acclaimed studio albums, she scored and contributed original music to the award winning independent film Never Goin’ Back, she co-wrote and sang on a Grammy award winning track for Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 album and contributed her eerily haunting vocal to the Disney/Pixar short The Blue Umbrella scored by Jon Brion.

As a recording artist in her own right, Jaffe has earned accolades from the likes of NPR, New York Times, Vogue, Interview, SPIN, USA Today, ELLE, Noisey, Nylon, Billboard, Marie Claire and more, graced the cover of the Dallas Observer twice and made her Late Night TV Debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Sarah Jaffe has toured the US extensively both on her own and supporting artists such as Cyndi Lauper, The Polyphonic Spree, Astronautalis, Norah Jones, and Patty Griffin and this past fall she completed her second solo tour of Europe. She’s also graced the stages of numerous festivals including Made In America in Philly and SummerFest in Milwaukee and even joined Weezer at The Edge 102.1 FM concert in Dallas to perform their hit song “Go Away.”

Performances take place in the MCL Grand’s intimate 300-seat performance hall and is reserved seating:
  • Tier 1 tickets: $30
  • Tier 2 tickets: $20
  • $15 Lewisville resident tickets can be purchased in person at MCL Grand during normal business hours; must show valid driver’s license or utility bill to validate residency. Subject to availability.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Lewisville, MCL Grand is the premier public arts facility in Southern Denton County. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard. Medical City Lewisville has a multi-year agreement with the city for naming rights at the center. 

To reach MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
