Beat Root Revival and Pat Byrne

Comprised of multi-instrumentalists Ben Jones from Kent, England and Belfast, Ireland native Andrea Magee, Beat Root Revival has been taking American audiences by storm with their utterly original sonic amalgam of folk, rock, country, and traditional Irish sounds. After landing in America five years ago, the duo has stolen the hearts of captivated audiences, most recently as support for the Brian Wilson’s “Pet Sounds" tour; they have also toured as the opening act for Brian Setzer, The Fixx and ABC’s Nashville TV star Jonathan Jackson.

Pat Byrne is an Irish singer songwriter, living between Austin, Texas, and County Carlow, Ireland. Pat's voice strikes an emotional chord with his audience; ranging from seductive whisper one moment, to full-bodied rock 'n' roll growl the next. His latest work reflects both his Irish roots and the rich influence of the musicians he’s recently worked with in Texas.

The Black Box Songwriter Series features singer-songwriters in an intimate, listening-room setting. Since its inception in 2015, the series has attracted a variety of celebrated songwriters, such as Gretchen Peters (“Independence Day”), Susan Gibson (“Wide Open Spaces”), Walt Wilkins (“Trains I Missed”), and numerous award-winning troubadours. Both newcomers and veteran songwriters have played the series and given fans a chance to hear incredible songs as well as the stories behind them.

This series is produced by the City of Lewisville. Tickets are $15 general admission and are available for purchase online at mclgrand.tix.com. Sales tax included in ticket price.
