LISD District Art Show - High School Juried Show
- Date: -
- Location: MCL Grand
100 N. Charles
Lewisville, Texas 75057
The annual LISD Art Show, featuring art from every school in the district, is celebrating its 20th annual show in 2018. An interactive ribbon tree will be part of this year’s show. The tree will be a representation of community and how we each play a role in the creativity of students. The tree will be decorated by everyone that visits the gallery by adding a ribbon to the golden tree limbs. Please help celebrate art and this momentous occasion by attending the shows and supporting art education in LISD.
The season will begin by showcasing the talents of LISD high school art students, on view February 16-24. Art for this amazing show is selected by a juror and prizes are awarded through a partnership with the Visual Art League.
The LISD Middle School Art Show is the second show in the season, on view from March 2-17, and includes work selected by LISD middle school art teachers.
The remaining two shows include the LISD Elementary-East and the Elementary-West. Student work is selected by the elementary art teachers. Elementary-East works will be on view March 23-31 and Elementary-West April 6-14.
All sections of the LISD Art Show will be on view in the Gallery of the MCL Grand and available for viewing during gallery hours, Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m- 5 p.m. and evenings when there are other programs going on at the MCL Grand. The MCL Grand Gallery is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
