The Texas Tunes series features performers from music halls and festivals throughout the state who present great music in a variety of genres, but all with that unique Texas flair that has made the state a hotbed for fans of live music.

The Texas-born, Louisiana-raised pianist/vocalist/songwriter is famed worldwide for igniting a full-scale roadhouse rhythm and blues party every time she strolls on stage. This critically acclaimed artist has won many awards: A sampling includes the 2002 Blues Music Award for Blues Album Of The Year for Presumed Innocent. She has been nominated for Grammy Awards four times and won the 2004 Blues Music Award for Contemporary Blues Album Of The Year as well as the Contemporary Blues Female Artist Of The Year award that same year. Marcia is a four time winner of the Blues Music Awards Pinetop Perkins Piano Player Of The Year. In addition she has won two Living Blues Awards. In 2010 she was inducted into the Gulf Coast Music Hall Of Fame.

Texas based songwriter, Max Stalling didn’t even pick up a guitar until graduate school. Stalling studied at Texas A&M - College Station and followed the corporate road, eventually landing in Dallas where he discovered the Three Teardrops Tavern and Dallas community radio station KNON.
Inspired by artists like Townes Van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, and Jerry Jeff Walker, Stalling started writing songs, recording albums, and eventually touring with a full band to back him. Sixty thousand CDs later, Stalling has left the corporate life behind. Stalling plays about 150 shows a year and his songs are receiving national notice. His song “Scars and Souvenirs” was used as the title for an episode of Grey’s Anatomy in 2007 and he is featured on the CW Network’s Troubadour, TX television series

Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, located at 100 N. Charles Street, between Main and Church streets, opened in January 2011. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard. Medical Center of Lewisville has a multi-year agreement with the city for naming rights at the center.
To reach the MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Parking is not permitted in the grass lot across Church Street from MCL Grand.
