Texas Family Musicals
March 29
Johnny Crawford Orchestra in Concert
8 p.m.
Former child star of the popular TV series, The Rifleman, Crawford later reinvented himself as a crooner, fronting a band that plays original dance-band arrangements from the 1920s and 30s. Johnny’s voice is light and appealing; he brings great charm to his renditions of old favorites like “Louise” and “Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams.”
The Johnny Crawford Orchestra has performed at celebrity functions in Hollywood for the past 20 years and is ranked among the top dance orchestras in Los Angeles.
The concert is a benefit for the Texas Family Musicals, who produce the annual Lewisville Summer Musicals at the MCL Grand. During the 2012 season, Crawford appeared at the MCL Grand as the lead in the comedy, “The Foreigner.”
