ARTS CENTER MANAGER
Jim brings more than 40 years of professional experience in the arts to his job at the MCL Grand. Prior to coming to Lewisville, Jim managed arts facilities and programs in Plano for 14 years. Earlier arts work included stints as Producing Director for Garland Civic Theatre, Operations Manager at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas, and more than 20 years as a college theater professor. In addition to teaching and management, his resume extends to gallery direction, concert promotion and stage directing. Jim and wife Esmeralda live in the historic Hollywood Heights neighborhood in Dallas.
ARTS CENTER SPECIALIST
Rod brings over three decades of production experience to the MCL Grand. He has worn a number of “hats” in television, film, and stage production including live television director, sound designer, scenic designer, lighting designer, actor, scenic artist, and production carpenter. He came to Lewisville from theatre technical director positions at both the secondary and college levels. Rod has earned a BA in Theatre from Southwestern University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Technical Production from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
EVENT PLANNING TECHNICIAN
Melinda joined the staff of the MCL Grand in November of 2011, moving to her current position in November 2012. She attended the University of North Texas in Denton, where she received a degree in English Literature. With over 15 years of administrative experience, she enjoys working with clients to help them have great events, bringing more excitement to Old Town Lewisville. Melinda and her husband, Brian, were longtime Lewisville residents and currently live in Flower Mound.
Tim moved to the MCL Grand from Lewisville City Hall where he was part of the Community Relations team. He is a 1982 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University where he earned a BA in Communication with an emphasis in Radio/Television. With a minor in Music Education Tim fits in with the Arts crowd at the MCL Grand. Tim has been employed by the City of Lewisville since 1985 after moving from Wichita Falls where he directed commercials and news at KAUZ-TV. He and his wife Kim live in Lewisville.
